Shrek The Musical

Kamloops, British Columbia
Creative Credits Available Upon Request

I was brought on as the Costume Coordinator for this production as our rented package had redesigns that needed to happen to support our cast and the creative vision for the show. Featured designs are the Sugar Plum Fairy, Three Little Pigs, Duloc Guards, Shrek Vest and SFX Makeup, Happy People Ensemble, and many elements of the Fairytale Creatures Ensemble.

This show was such a joy to design - contemporary  costume design paired with  trials and tribulations of a curling team in the big bonspiel, each character had three looks including the custom curling jackets. The lime green crochet headband was made by me.

Crypthand
Costume Designer
Gale ForceTheatre

Halifax Nova Scotia
Creative Credits Available Upon Request

Crypthand holds a near and dear place for me with blurring the lines of regency, early roman myth, and 1900s court with modern twists. Due to Covid-19, this show was built remotely by me and one stitcher for the underpinnings. It was such a joy to finally see its world premier take place in the fall of 2022.

Where You Are

Theatre Baddeck

Baddeck Nova Scotia

A contemporary play set in Cape Breton Nova Scotia where a family is reunited, romance bubbles, and the positive relationships of sisters, mothers, and daughters all come together. This four-hander play had 3-4 looks per actor.

In the height of the pandemic, I was hired by my alma mater, Mount Allison University, to design MURMUReS, a billingual collective creation by the university students and Alex Fancy. This was a Zoom theatre production that toured virtually through high schools around the province.

Description:

Design for Dance Program paired a Design Practicum with a Wardrobe Practicum to collaborate and realize a piece that pushed ideas about dance costume, exploring texture, layers, and colour. The Wardrobe Practicums acted as Cutters and Stitchers, being handed a new design and bringing it to reality.

She is excited (and relieved) that live theatre is making its revival and that we are all able to share the magic together again. When Sabrina has spare time, she enjoys embroidering and crochet.
